This is the second revision of a website containing data contributed by numerous researchers, primarily Truett Crumley, Ken Crumbly and Paul Nichols. Input on specific branches was provided by Jerry Crumly, Donna Hamby and Margaret Lawless. Corrections have been submitted by numerous researchers.

Note: Data on the first five generations of descendants through John and Hannah (Faulkner) Crumley have been verified by a research committee comprised of Ken Crumbly, Jerry Crumly, Margaret Lawless, Donna Hamby and Truett Crumley. Data on descendants through William Crumley were provided by Paul Nichols. A vast quantity of data is yet to be posted, including the complete collections of Truett Crumley and Margaret Lawless. This is a work in progress.
Crumley DNA Project: There is currently a DNA project ongoing to check the relationships of the various Crumley lines. For information on this project, you can contact one of our project administrators, Roberta Estes, at restes@comcast.net or Jerry Crumly, at a-celt@cox.net . This project is for Y-chromosome DNA, which is passed from father to son. If any of our female cousins would like to participate, they must do through a male family member, i.e., brother, cousin, uncle, etc., with the last name of Crumley (or one of the variations). You can click on Y-results at the top of the page to see what we have so far. Thus far we have tested seven male Crumleys, four who are related through the James Crumley line, sons William and John, and two who are related through the German line in Tennessee. As it turned out, the two lines are not at all related. A third participant is from an entirely different line and is unrelated to any of the others.We welcome participants from the other lines to clear up the relationships.
